March 6, 2010 Vocations Crucifix Thank you very much to all who have take home the Crucifix to pray for Vocations for priests and religious. Everyone in invited to participate. Please sign the book in the Sacristy with your phone number and the Mass you attend. The Vocations committee meets the 3rd Monday of every month at 7 PM in the Parish Office. All parishioners are welcome.

October 17, 2009 Youth Group Spaghetti Extravaganza Dinner Looking for some great pasta? Come to the Youth Group's Spaghetti Extravaganza next Saturday, October 17th. Everyone will be there!! Doors open at 6pm, dinner served at 7pm. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Daughters for their help. Proceeds of the dinner will go to the Cordova Food Locker and the Catholics Coming Home Campaign. Tickects ar being sold after Mass: Children 5 through 12 — $6 and Adults $12. Don't miss out!

July 1, 2009 We Welcome Fr. Bernard Tape, our new Parochial Vicar He has served at St. Joseph Parish in McCloud, Sacred Heart Parish in Fort Jones, and St. Joseph Parish in Yreka. He previously served as parochial vicar of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Sacramento, St. Joseph Parish in Redding and St. Catherine of Sienna Parish in Valejo. A native of the Philippines, he studied for the priesthood at St. Patrick Seminary in Menlo Park and was ordained in November 2000.

Starting June 19, 2009 to June 19, 2010. With the announcement of this Year for Priests, the Pope has declared St. John Vianney the Universal Patron of Priests on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of the Curé d’Ars.
